The mother of a missing woman last seen in Auckland more than two weeks ago has made a plea for her daughter to be returned home safely. <\/p>\n

Te Anihana Beau Pomana, 25, was last seen leaving SkyCity<\/a> on August 21 at around 5.06am on August 21, having left all her belongings at the hotel.<\/p>\n

Today, Pomana’s mother, Catherine Anderson, travelled from Dunedin to help with the search for her daughter. <\/p>\n

“We are here because we are determined to find her,” Anderson said. <\/p>\n

She described Pomana as a “much-loved daughter, sister, aunty, niece, friend and mokopuna”.<\/p>\n

“We want to find her, take her home, and keep her safe.” <\/p>\n

“As a mother”, she appealed to anyone who had information about her daughter’s whereabouts to call the police. <\/p>\n

She said Pomama may be in Auckland, “but we do know she has travelled extensively since mid-July”. <\/p>\n

Anderson said her daughter had visited Dunedin, Christchurch, Wellington, Auckland, Kaeo, Kerikeri and wider Northland. <\/p>\n

“Someone must have seen her,” <\/p>\n

She then appealed to her daughter: “Te Anihana, if you see this, we all love you, and we miss you. <\/p>\n

“Please let us know that you’re okay.” <\/p>\n

Pomana checked into the hotel on August 18 and had no known associates in central Auckland.<\/p>\n

On August 29, police released CCTV footage of the woman leaving the hotel and said there were “grave concerns” for her well-being. <\/p>\n

She was described as having a thin build, standing at around 154cm tall, with curly black hair and tattoos.<\/p>\n

Detective Senior Sergeant Martin Friend said that at this stage “there’s nothing to suggest she is the victim of foul play”. <\/p>\n

“However, we are incredibly concerned for her, and she has not been seen now for over two weeks.”<\/p>\n

Despite scouring CCTV footage in search of the woman, Friend said police “just do not know” what happened to her. <\/p>\n

“It’s like she’s disappeared essentially.” <\/p>\n

He said police had reason to believe she was “linking up with her heritage”, and contacting marae in Northland. <\/p>\n

“Her heritage seems to be marae up in Northland, however, we’ve got no recent sightings of her heading in that direction.” <\/p>\n
