<\/p>\nActress Zoya Afroz, who is currently earning praise for her performance in Netflix\u2019s original series Taskaree: The Smuggler’s Web, recently reflected on her journey to the show in a heartfelt social media post, offering a glimpse into the persistence and preparation that led to the role.<\/p>\n

Zoya Afroz recalls working in silence before getting Taskaree break: \u201cWhen the moment arrives, that preparation speaks for itself\u201d<\/p>\n
Sharing the experience on her social media handle, Zoya wrote, \u201cSome opportunities arrive because you\u2019ve earned the right to meet them.\u201d The actor revealed that she was visiting her mother\u2019s hometown in Assam after 12 years when she received an unexpected call to audition.<\/p>\n
Recounting the moment, she shared, \u201cI was visiting my mom\u2019s hometown in Assam \u2014 after 12 years \u2014 which is 3,000 km away, four hours from the nearest airport. I had packed for a months long trip but it was just 2 days into the trip when I got a call to audition immediately.\u201d<\/p>\n
The call, she said, carried added weight once she learnt it was for Neeraj Pandey\u2019s Netflix series. \u201cThe moment I heard it was for Neeraj Pandey sir\u2019s Netflix series, everything changed. I packed overnight, travelled 16 hours, tested, got approved\u2014and suddenly, I was living my dream,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n
Zoya also highlighted the intensity of the transition from audition to shoot, noting that there was little time to settle into the role. \u201cThere was just a three-day gap between my audition and being on set. I was preparing and shooting simultaneously, holding a seven-episode arc of a powerful character with no time to ease in,\u201d she shared.<\/p>\n
Reflecting on the years of preparation leading up to the opportunity, the actor added, \u201cBut sometimes, you work in silence for years\u2014and when the moment arrives, that preparation speaks for itself.\u201d<\/p>\n
Through her post, Zoya emphasised the value of consistency and perseverance, writing, \u201cThe years you spend working in silence are never wasted. You keep refining your craft, and when the moment finally comes, you\u2019re ready to meet it.\u201d<\/p>\n
She also expressed gratitude toward the team behind Taskaree, acknowledging the effort that went into making her participation possible. \u201cWhat stayed with me was the team\u2019s conviction\u2014they truly moved mountains to make it happen. Grateful beyond words,\u201d she noted.<\/p>\n
Concluding her message, Zoya thanked creator Neeraj Pandey and the team at Friday Storytellers, writing, \u201cThank you @neerajpofficial \u2014 your belief means the world to me,\u201d and adding appreciation for Devendra Deshpande and Raghav Jairath for their determination and support.<\/p>\n
