WASHINGTON (TNND) \u2014 Secretary of War Pete Hegseth visited Cape Canaveral, Florida, as part of his \u201cArsenal of Freedom<\/a>\u201d tour.<\/p>\n

While there, he visited NASA facilities and participated in an enlistment ceremony. He also stopped by the Blue Origin<\/a> facilities and spoke about space defense with owner and former Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis workforce\u2014American workers, American manufacturing and American innovation\u2014is ready to support the mission,\u201d said Bezos. \u201cWe are so proud that you\u2019ve selected Blue Origin to showcase what the Arsenal of Freedom looks like in the space age.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hegseth talked at length about the Pentagon\u2019s deterrence through strength policies at each of his Cape Canaveral stops Monday. At Blue Origin, the secretary spoke about the importance of the partnership between the military and industry to ensure warfighting standards.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe don\u2019t care what name is printed on the side of the rocket,\u201d he said at Blue Origin. \u201cWe just want the best.\u201d<\/p>\n
