Power ushers in a new era in 2026, moving out of the #12 Team Penske Chevrolet and into the #26 Andretti Global Honda.<\/p>\n

Power\u2019s livery matches that used by Andretti Global in the FIA Formula E World Championship, with a striking lime green and black scheme with sponsorship from TWG AI.<\/p>\n

Despite a whopping 15 seasons at Team Penske, Power said he is already getting used to being at a new team.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow that I\u2019ve got to work, it\u2019s just business as normal,\u201d Power explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not even registering the difference. You\u2019re in a team. You\u2019re trying to get the most out of the car and working closely with the engineers. You\u2019re on the Honda sim, all the same stuff.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re not really distracted by, \u2018I wonder what they\u2019re doing at Penske\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe one thing that\u2019s difficult is I used to live right near the shop. It was easy for me to go in and see everyone at Penske.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I have a place here in Indy now, which is about the same or very close to the shop. So when I\u2019m here, it\u2019s the same deal. It feels normal.\u201d<\/p>\n

Power had the option to continue with Team Penske for one more season, but elected not to continue amid a desire for long-term stability.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just love competing. I love doing this. It\u2019s really enjoyable,\u201d said Power.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve got a ton of experience. It would be a pity to stop when you\u2019re really still on top of your game.<\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of work, 20 years of work, 20 years of IndyCar racing, and still able to win races and poles. It\u2019s just very difficult to do in this series.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s sort of why I keep going.<\/p>\n

\u201cRoger gave me a great career. He offered me a year. It wasn\u2019t like, \u2018you\u2019re not coming back\u2019. He offered me to come back,\u201d Power added.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut pretty far down the road at that point. Yeah, the relationship is good. I\u2019ll always be grateful for what he did for my career and what he\u2019s done for the sport.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was lucky to drive for that long, and I could have continued, but I wanted sort of a longer-term contract, and also for myself, I wanted to know what can I do on another team.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, tremendous respect for Roger and the whole organisation. I\u2019d definitely like to beat him but I want to beat everyone. We\u2019ve got to go out and win races.\u201d<\/p>\n

IndyCar begins on the streets of St Petersburg on February 27-March 1.<\/p>\n
