\n\tPom Klementieff<\/a> (Guardians of the Galaxy, Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning parts one and two) is Romy, a French DJ touring the sun-bleached and club-lit Canary Islands \u2013 until her friend vanishes.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tParadise turns sinister and scary in Mi Amor, the new feature film from actor-director Guillaume Nicloux\u2019s (The Kidnapping of Michel Houellebecq<\/a>, Valley of Love), a disappearance thriller with a pulsing techno score courtesy of Ir\u00e8ne Dr\u00e9sel and Sizo Del Givry. The movie is celebrating its world premiere in the Limelight section of the 55th edition<\/a> of the International Film Festival Rotterdam<\/a>\u00a0(IFFR<\/a>).<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cMet with evasion from locals and the authorities, Romy\u2019s search leads her to Vincent, a magnetic stranger (Beno\u00eet Magimel), and the sinister proprietors of an exotic animal sanctuary,\u201d a synopsis for Mi Amor tells us. \u201cWith the help of Vincent, the club owner with a troubled past, Romy will stop at nothing to find her.\u201d Freya Mavor (Marie Antoinette), \u00c0strid Berg\u00e8s-Frisbey (The Vault), Ana\u00ebl Snoek (The Serpent Queen), and Elina L\u00f6wensohn also feature in the movie.<\/p>\n

\n\tNicloux wrote the screenplay with Nathalie Leuthreau. The producers of Mi Amor are Fran\u00e7ois Kraus and Denis Pineau-Valencienne, with Les Films du Kiosque serving as the production company. Le Pacte is handling sales.<\/p>\n

\n\tMi Amor is bringing the party and the suspense to Rotterdam in more than one sense. After all, following the world premiere on Friday, Feb. 6, Dr\u00e9sel and Del Givry will put on a special performance for festival goers.<\/p>\n

\n\tTHR can now premiere a trailer for Mi Amor. It shows Klementieff in DJ, search, and drama mode, and it gives you a first cinematic look at the Canary Islands. <\/p>\n
