The news dropped at Apple TV\u2019s press day at Santa Monica\u2019s Barker Hangar, where the three stars joined Willink in a moderated conversation on stage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe project is based on Willink\u2019s novel Way of the Warrior Kid: From Wimpy to Warrior the Navy SEAL Way. It centers on Marc, who is experiencing a nightmare middle school experience. A good kid who is bullied by his classmates, he struggles with feeling like he\u2019s behind in everything, from academics to physical education to making friends. His life changes when his injured uncle Jake, played by Pratt, who is a decorated Navy SEAL, comes to spend the summer with him while recuperating. Jake devises an ambitious play called \u201cOperation Warrior Kid\u201d to help Marc defend himself. In the process, Jake shows Marc what real courage is while facing down his own demons.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tMcG directed from a script by Will Staples (Without Remorse). Pratt, Cardellini and Hill star alongside Ava Torres, Levi McConaughey, Darien Sills-Evans, Carl McDowell, Parker Young and more.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tHailing from Apple and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/skydance-media\/\" id=\"auto-tag_skydance-media_1\" data-tag=\"skydance-media\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Skydance Media<\/a>, Way of the Warrior Kid is produced by Skydance\u2019s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger, alongside McG and Mary Viola for Wonderland Sound, Chris Pratt for Indivisible Productions, Ben Everard for Everard Entertainment, Bruce Wayne Gillies and author Jocko Willink.
