Lisa Rinna<\/a> was definitely iconic on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills<\/a>. She recently reflected on her \u201cpainful\u201d exit and why it had to happen.<\/p>\n

Lisa appeared on Jeff Lewis Live on the heels of her run<\/a> on The Traitors<\/a>, and she looked back on her painful RHOBH exit, admitting that perhaps she shouldn\u2019t have done that last season.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m in a much better place, obviously, than I was three years ago,\u201d she began. \u201cYou know, my mother had passed away, and you know, truth be told, I should have taken a moment and not maybe done that year and just done the grieving and not done the show.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

She explained that her worker bee mentality made her want to fulfill the contract and do the show. But she wasn\u2019t in the right headspace to do it, and it really \u201cf*cked her up.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was difficult, you know, it was difficult to grieve in the public eye,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd I also don\u2019t think that people are comfortable watching other people grieve. It\u2019s too painful. And I think it triggered a lot of stuff in people. They didn\u2019t know why they were upset with me, but I think it had something to do with that. So, it was a really, really difficult ending to that chapter.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lisa had previously shared that fan backlash<\/a> was a main motivator for leaving the show<\/a>. Coupled with the grief of her mother\u2019s passing, it must have been very difficult indeed.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI was in a lot of pain,\u201d Lisa admitted. \u2018I\u2019m totally different now. That show was great for me. I wouldn\u2019t change it. It\u2019s a difficult show to do when it\u2019s that, when it\u2019s painful like that. It became toxic. I think everyone can agree it was a toxic season. I\u2019m just happy<\/a> that I am where I am now.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWho are you still friends with, with your former castmates?\u201d Jeff asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cErika (Jayne), Kyle (Richards), Teddi (Mellencamp), and Dorit (Kemsley),\u201d Lisa answered. \u201cAnd that\u2019s it.\u201d<\/p>\n
