Tatiana Maslany currently appears in Star Trek: Starfleet Academy<\/a> as the mother of cadet Caleb Mir. And while her screen time has been incredibly limited throughout the first four episodes, Anisha Mir remains an integral part of the new streaming series because her son, Caleb, is obsessed with finding her. However, Marvel fans hoping to find Maslany in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday film as She-Hulk shouldn\u2019t get their hopes up, regardless of whether she really turned down the role or not.<\/p>\n In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Maslany was clearly evasive when asked if she, in fact, turned down the opportunity to return for the highly anticipated MCU installment as Bruce Banner\u2019s super-powered cousin, Jen Walters. Was the actress kidding or being serious when she last addressed the issue (per ScreenRant<\/a>)? Well, Maslany said when asked (per ET<\/a>), \u201cYou\u2019ll never know,\u201d whether she was being serious about turning down an opportunity to come back as She-Hulk for Doomsday.<\/p>\n Okay, I personally believe that there probably wasn\u2019t enough room for Maslany\u2019s She-Hulk character to appear in Doomsday, and that she was not asked back by Marvel Studios. Give the actress credit, though, because she knows how to work the press for extra publicity.<\/p>\n Fan-favorite Marvel staples like Thor (Chris Hemsworth \u2014 Star Trek alum) and Chris Evans\u2019 version of Captain America are already confirmed to return for Doomsday, as is another popular Star Trek actor, Sir Patrick Stewart of The Next Generation fame.<\/p>\n Plus, the big draw is obviously Robert Downey Jr. returning, but not as Iron Man (I\u2019ll believe that when I see it). Yes, he is officially playing Doctor Doom but don\u2019t let the Russo brothers fool you. Doomsday and its follow-up, Avengers: Secret Wars, sound like the perfect opportunity to bring Tony Stark (RDJ) back from the dead.<\/p>\n Honestly, I\u2019m much more interested in seeing Maslany\u2019s mysterious story as Anisha Mir play out on Starfleet Academy. Why won\u2019t she respond to her son\u2019s communication attempts?
