\u201cIt\u2019s great to see artists stand up for what\u2019s going on in the world and make their voices heard.\u201d<\/p>\n
For Singh, the studio is more than a workplace \u2014 it is a space that demands emotional intelligence as much as technical skill.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe studio is a safe space,\u201d he explained. <\/p>\n
\u201cArtists need to feel vulnerable. You have to read the room, understand what they\u2019re going through, and find ways to be supportive so it\u2019s comfortable for everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n
Learning from legends<\/p>\n
Over the years, Singh has collaborated with artists across genres and personalities, from Ed Sheeran and Kanye West to Travis Barker. Early in his career, he adopted a simple philosophy: never turn down a session.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf the phone rang and it was a session, show up and take it,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n
\u201cYou never know who\u2019s going to walk into the studio, or which session might turn into something long-term.\u201d<\/p>\n
Despite six Grammys, Singh still considers himself a student. <\/p>\n
\u201cBeing in the studio with legends is like being in school,\u201d he said. \u201cYou soak it in and learn. Magic is made there \u2014 you create something from nothing.\u201d<\/p>\n
No pause after the win<\/p>\n
Asked whether there is such a thing as a \u201cGrammy curse,\u201d similar to the so-called \u201cOscar curse\u201d \u2014 where winners sometimes struggle to find work or live up to expectations after a major award \u2014 Singh dismissed the idea. Winning, he said, only fuels his drive.<\/p>\n
\u201cWinning makes me want to work harder and be better,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe were back in the studio tonight. Today, we all went back to work.\u201d<\/p>\n
His current focus is new music with Machine Gun Kelly, who is preparing for a European tour this month. <\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s non-stop,\u201d Singh said. \u201cWe\u2019ve got goals and music to make.\u201d<\/p>\n
A message for Dubai<\/p>\n
Though settled in Los Angeles, Singh remains closely connected to Dubai and hopes to return soon for family milestones, including his mother\u2019s birthday and a cousin\u2019s wedding.<\/p>\n
