A long-discussed Slipknot<\/a> side project is finally seeing the light of day, with \u2018Look Outside Your Window\u2019 confirmed for release as part of Record Store Day on April 18.<\/a><\/p>\n

Importantly, it is not being released under the band name. Instead, the record is credited to Look Outside Your Window, reflecting the project\u2019s original intention as something separate from the band\u2019s core catalogue.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The announcement confirms that Slipknot members Corey Taylor, Jim Root, Sid Wilson, and Shawn \u2018Clown\u2019 Crahan came up with these records in their \u201cdowntime during recording sessions for Slipknot’s 2008 album All Hope Is Gone.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0They \u201cbegan to freely create songs for themselves, exploring new directions with no outside expectations.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cOver the years, the existence of this project has seen coverage in outlets including Vice, Revolver, NME, Kerrang!, and countless others, and the fans have only grown louder in their demand to hear this album,\u201d the announcement reads. Now, over 15 years later, the fans will finally get to experience it for themselves.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Now officially listed on the Record Store Day \u201cbig list\u201d, the release is confirmed as a limited pressing of 2,300 copies worldwide.<\/p>\n
