Nigerian Afrobeats musician, <\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a>Davido<\/a>, has opened up about the struggles of fame, disclosing how much he misses living a normal life without being recognised.<\/p>\n

Speaking on a recent episode of The ‘Long Form’ podcast, the award-winning musician shared a rare personal experience where he disguised himself just to enjoy a quiet moment in public.<\/p>\n

According to <\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a>Davido<\/a>, he wore a balaclava and hat to conceal his identity before heading to a mall near his father\u2019s home in Atlanta, a place he had frequently visited as a child with his late mother.<\/p>\n

\u201cI did something interesting recently. We have a little normal car at home that you would probably not think I could be in. We use it for like grocery shopping and other stuff,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n

He explained that the disguise helped him blend in and move around freely without attracting attention.<\/p>\n

\u201cI put on a balaclava with a hat so you could only see my eyes. I went to the mall that\u2019s by my dad\u2019s house in Atlanta. I\u2019ve been going to that mall since I was a kid, my mother had been taking me there before she passed,\u201d he recounted.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a>Davido<\/a> stated that he visited his favourite food court spot and, for once, experienced life like an ordinary person.<\/p>\n

\u201cI went to my favourite place at the food court, people were walking all over and the place was very busy. I sat there, I pulled the balaclava up a bit and I was just eating my food. I felt regular for like an hour and I felt so good,\u201d he shared. <\/p>\n

The singer noted that he even stepped out for a quick massage afterwards and still went unnoticed.<\/p>\n

\u201cI went for some quick outside massage and still no one noticed,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n

<\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a>Davido<\/a> admitted that living privately has become nearly impossible, especially when he is with his wife.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy people asked why I did that and I told them I just felt like going out and feeling regular. My wife and I tried to go places no one would notice us and it\u2019s impossible. It\u2019s very hard and I miss being a regular person,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
