Its shares surged more than 20% in after-hours trading.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-14ve0pc\">For the full year ahead, Roblox guided for bookings of between $8.28 billion and $8.55 billion, which would represent annual growth of 22% to 26%. That\u2019s well ahead of Wall Street\u2019s estimates: analysts polled by FactSet expected $8.03 billion. <\/p>\n<p class=\"css-14ve0pc\">Roblox forecasts Q1 bookings to land between $1.69 billion and $1.74 billion, compared to the $1.7 billion Wall Street consensus estimate.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-14ve0pc\">An average of 144 million daily users logged on to Roblox in its fourth quarter, beating estimates of 138 million and up 69% from last year. The platform paid out $1.5 billion to creators last year, up from $922 million in 2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-14ve0pc\">Roblox engagement surged in 2025, a year marred by <a href=\"https:\/\/sherwood.news\/markets\/roblox-sinks-as-child-safety-lawsuits-pile-up-that-accuse-it-of-knowingly\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"css-uubm0\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">several legal issues<\/a> surrounding child safety on the platform. Late last year, analysts began to <a href=\"https:\/\/sherwood.news\/markets\/jpmorgan-downgrades-roblox-says-hits-like-steal-a-brainrot-are-past-their\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"css-uubm0\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">warn<\/a> that some of its most popular titles were past their peak.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-14ve0pc\">Recently, shares of the company have dropped on investor fears of <a class=\"inline-stock css-1iix00n\" href=\"https:\/\/robinhood.com\/us\/en\/stocks\/GOOGL\/?source=sherwood\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Google\u2019s<\/a> Project Genie AI tool, which generates playable worlds. As of Thursday\u2019s close, Roblox had shed more than $10 billion in market cap since Project Genie launched. On Wednesday, Roblox appeared to answer Genie\u2019s release with the <a href=\"https:\/\/sherwood.news\/business\/roblox-answers-googles-project-genie-launching-the-open-beta-for-its-4d-ai\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"css-uubm0\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">open beta launch<\/a> of its own \u201c4D\u201d generative-AI tool.
