Finneas O\u2019Connell<\/a> is exuding some protective-big-brother vibes.<\/p>\n

Billie Eilish<\/a>\u2019s sibling and musical collaborator took to Threads on Wednesday<\/a> to defend his little sister after she received an onslaught of right-wing backlash after speaking out against Immigration and Customs Enforcement at the Grammys on Sunday.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo one is illegal on stolen land,\u201d Eilish said while accepting the award for Song of the Year alongside O\u2019Connell. Both siblings also donned \u201cICE Out\u201d pins<\/a> at the ceremony. <\/p>\n

At the tail end of her speech, the \u201cBirds of a Feather\u201d singer added: \u201cFuck ICE.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSeeing a lot of very powerful old white men outraged about what my 24 year old sister said during her acceptance speech,\u201d O\u2019Connell began his post on Wednesday. \u201cWe can literally see your names in the Epstein files.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although it\u2019s unclear specifically who O\u2019Connell is referring to, plenty of powerful MAGA loyalists and GOP lawmakers got pretty salty about Eilish\u2019s remarks.<\/p>\n

\u201cShark Tank\u201d host Kevin \u201cMr. Wonderful\u201d O\u2019Leary \u2014 who is very outspoken<\/a> about his support to President Donald Trump \u2014 complained about Eilish\u2019s comments on Fox News\u2019 America Reports segment<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know her agents are going out of their minds,\u201d O\u2019Leary said<\/a>. \u201cAs you rise up \u2014 whether you\u2019re a film star, music star, whatever \u2014 shut your mouth and just entertain.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) took time out of the Senate Antitrust hearing on the Netflix and Warner Brothers deal<\/a> to mock Eilish: \u201cI will say, at the Grammys, when you see an entertainer say, \u2018Nobody is illegal while we\u2019re on stolen land\u2019 and then you see entertainers leap to their feet so excitedly at the notion that America is fundamentally illegitimate, it starts to convey the entertainment world is deeply corrupt.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAny white person who does a public \u2018stolen land\u2019 acknowledgement should immediately give his or her land to native Americans. Otherwise they don\u2019t mean it. Also, I\u2019m pretty sure they don\u2019t mean it,\u201d Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) wrote on X<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh, gee, this \u2018stolen land\u2019 nonsense again?\u201d Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis posted on X<\/a>. \u201cMaybe she should step up and forfeit her Southern California mansion since it is supposedly on \u2018stolen land.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

The whole \u201cgive your land back\u201d to native tribes retort seems to be a popular argument among the right, which may have been popularized by a conservative journalist named Eric Daugherty shortly after Eilish\u2019s speech on X.<\/p>\n

Daugherty quickly uncovered that Eilish\u2019s home is located on land that belongs to the Tongva tribe, and suggested that the \u201cWhat Was I Made For?\u201d singer should give her home back.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe could also graciously host illegal aliens in her mansion,\u201d Daugherty wrote on X Monday<\/a>, \u201cAfter all, she has the moral high ground. Put up or shut the F up.\u201d <\/p>\n

A spokesperson for the Tongva tribe confirmed to the Daily Mail<\/a> in a statement on Monday that the \u201cBad Guy\u201d singer\u2019s home is \u201csituated in our ancestral land.\u201d<\/p>\n

And despite what right-wing X would have you believe, the tribe seemed to appreciate Eilish\u2019s remark. <\/p>\n

\u201cEilish has not contacted our tribe directly regarding her property, we do value the instance when public figures provide visibility to the true history of this country,\u201d the spokesperson said. <\/p>\n

The spokesperson added that the tribe has reached out to Eilish\u2019s team \u201cto express our appreciation for her comments.\u201d <\/p>\n

They did, however, have one request of Eilish \u2014 and it wasn\u2019t to return her home.<\/p>\n
