TAIPEI, Feb 6 (Reuters) – \u200bArtificial intelligence<\/a> is not a bubble, and 2026 \u200cAI-related order growth will be more than last year, Simon Lin, \u200cthe chairman of Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Wistron, said on Friday.<\/p>\n

“We believe AI really does help all industries, so I don’t think it’s a bubble; I think it \u2060will mark a new \u200cera. A new AI era is arriving,” Lin, whose company is an Nvidia<\/a> supplier, \u200dtold reporters in Taipei.<\/p>\n

Wistron’s order situation is good up into 2027, and for this year growth will be “significant” compared with \u200bthe prior year, he added.<\/p>\n

The company said last \u200cyear that its new U.S. manufacturing facilities for Nvidia would be ready in 2026 and the firm was in talks with other potential customers.<\/p>\n

Volume production there will start in the first half of this year, the \u2060company’s CEO Jeff Lin said.<\/p>\n

Part \u200bof the facilities will be used \u200bby Nvidia to support its plan to build AI servers worth up to $500 billion in the U.S. \u200dover the next \u2060four years.<\/p>\n

The U.S. firm said last April it planned to build supercomputer manufacturing plants in Texas, \u2060partnering with Foxconn in Houston and Wistron in Dallas.<\/p>\n
