The Truth<\/p>\n<p>Spoilers for season four of The Lincoln Lawyer ahead.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Lincoln Lawyer\u2019s latest season might just be the most heart-wrenching yet.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, as Mickey Haller (Manuel Garc\u00eda-Rulfo) works to keep himself out of the defendant\u2019s chair in the murder of former client Sam Scales (Christopher Thornton), in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.netflix.com\/tudum\/articles\/the-lincoln-lawyer-season-4-ending-explained\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noopener noreferrer nofollow\">season four of the Netflix legal drama<\/a>, he\u2019s blindsided by the death of his mentor and confidant David \u201cLegal\u201d Siegel (Elliott Gould).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It is established early on in the season that Legal has been dealing with heart issues, and as the investigation into Sam\u2019s death\u2014he was found in the trunk of the titular lawyer\u2019s car in the season three finale\u2014continues, Mickey keeps quiet about the scope of the allegations against him.<\/p>\n<p>In the sixth episode, Legal goes to Mickey\u2019s office to visit him at work, only to find he is in court for Sam\u2019s murder trial. Instead of heading home, the retired attorney opts to get lunch with Mickey\u2019s colleague\u2014and ex-wife\u2014Lorna Crane (Becky Newton).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On the bus ride home from the lunch outing, things take a drastic turn and he experiences a heart attack and dies.
