As the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks get ready to go head-to-head at Super Bowl<\/a> LX on Sunday, February 8\u2014you know, in between Bad Bunny\u2019s historic Apple Music halftime show<\/a>\u2014fans can expect to see some familiar faces in the crowd, too. Among the WAGs will be Ann Michael Maye, aka the wife of Patriots quarterback Drake Maye. She\u2019s been supporting her man long before he made it to the big game. That being said! Now feels like a good time to introduce you to the first lady of New England.<\/p>\n

Her name is Ann Michael, not Ann<\/p>\n

First things first: her name isn\u2019t just Ann. It\u2019s Ann Michael.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t like people calling her Ann and she doesn\u2019t like it either,\u201d Drake clarified during a press conference.<\/p>\n

She met Drake back in middle school<\/p>\n

These two go way back. Ann Michael actually cheered for Drake on the football field when they were pre-teens in middle school, and they reportedly started dating when they were 12.<\/p>\n

\u201cHer watching my middle school football games playing quarterback to now getting a chance to watch me in the super bowl\u2026 I wouldn\u2019t rather do it with anybody else,\u201d Drake said in a press conference<\/a> on February 2.<\/p>\n

In May 2024, Ann Michael also shared a sweet throwback post on TikTok, set to Taylor Swift\u2019s \u201cSo High School\u201d (except, she corrected it to \u201cSo Middle School\u201d). We can\u2019t handle the cuteness!!<\/p>\n

They went to the University of North Carolina<\/p>\n

The couple kept their connection going well into college, when Drake played football at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2021. According to her LinkedIn<\/a> profile, Ann Michael majored in business administration with a double minor in entrepreneurship and conflict management.<\/p>\n

Ann Michael is also an athlete<\/p>\n

Yep! While football is Drake\u2019s thing, Ann Michael played softball and basketball in high school. He praised her sportsmanship during a press conference ahead of the Super Bowl. \u201cShe\u2019s a great athlete,\u201d he said, adding, \u201cShe beats me at a lot of sports.\u201d<\/p>\n

They got married in 2025<\/p>\n

Drake and Ann Michael tied the knot in June 2025 at the ages of 23 and 22 years old, respectively.<\/p>\n

Drake has no regrets about getting married young, either. During a press conference, he said<\/a>, \u201cMy teammates have the right to whatever they choose but I would definitely advise them to eventually get married. It\u2019s one of the best things I\u2019ve experienced in my life. There\u2019s no better feeling than coming home to a wife that loves you and cares for you.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cI know my teammates, some of them are experiencing different parts of their life. I chose to get married young, and I don\u2019t regret it one bit.\u201d<\/p>\n
