Eagles<\/a>\u00a0founding\u00a0member\u00a0Don Henley<\/a> has said that he thinks the band will \u201cprobably\u201d come to an end this year.<\/p>\n

The legendary group are\u00a0in the middle of a huge run of shows at\u00a0the Sphere in Las Vegas<\/a>, as part of their\u00a0titanic \u2018The Long Goodbye\u2019 tour, but with that residency set to end in March, singer and drummer Henley, 78,\u00a0has\u00a0opened up\u00a0about where he sees the band going next.<\/p>\n

In an interview on\u00a0CBS Sunday Morning,\u00a0he was asked about their future, and he replied: \u201cYou know, I think this year will probably be it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I\u2019ve said things like that before, but I feel like we\u2019re getting toward the end,\u201d he added. \u201cAnd that will be fine too.\u201d<\/p>\n

He went on to say that he is eager to spend more time with his family and he would like the opportunity to \u201cgrow vegetables\u201d and travel. \u201cI\u2019ve been all over the world, but I haven\u2019t seen much of it, because we see the airports and the hotel room and the venue and we don\u2019t get out much, you know?\u201d<\/p>\n

The Vegas run was originally only intended to last for eight shows,\u00a0but it has been extended multiple times due to \u201coverwhelming demand\u201d<\/a>, with\u00a0the final 12 shows taking place in the early months of this year<\/a>.\u00a0The last date\u00a0is on\u00a0March\u00a028\u00a0and you can find any remaining tickets\u00a0here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Eagles\u00a0formed in 1971 after Glenn Frey and\u00a0Henley played together in Linda Ronstadt\u2019s backing band, and they\u00a0remained\u00a0together\u00a0until 1980,\u00a0reforming\u00a0multiple times since.\u00a0They\u00a0are one of the most successful bands of all time, winning six Grammys and selling over 200 million records worldwide, and they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.<\/p>\n

Last month, their \u2018Greatest Hits\u2019 album from 1976, the best-selling album of all time in the US and the fifth worldwide,\u00a0became the first record ever to be quadruple diamond-certificated in their home country<\/a>, signifying 40 million sales.<\/p>\n
