Luxon<\/a> told TVNZ\u2019s Breakfast he thought Trump should recognise his mistake.<\/p>\n

Asked if an apology was in order for the post, Luxon said: \u201cLook, yeah, I think he should.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was asked, he says he condemns it, but the reality is I saw coverage of it. I lived in the US for eight years in North America and I\u2019m well aware of what that trope is all about.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was racist and it\u2019s right that it\u2019s been removed.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs to whether he apologises for it, that\u2019s obviously a decision for him but I would have thought you\u2019d want to,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
