Anna Calvi<\/a> is releasing a new EP, Is This All There Is?, on March 20 via Domino<\/a>. The record features collaborations with Laurie Anderson<\/a>, Iggy Pop<\/a>, and Matt Berninger<\/a>, and includes a previously released cover<\/a> of Bonnie \u201cPrince\u201d Billy<\/a>\u2019s \u201cI See a Darkness.\u201d Below, watch the video for the project\u2019s lead single with Pop, \u201cGod\u2019s Lonely Man.\u201d<\/p>\n

Is This All There Is? is the first in a trilogy of records exploring identity and romance. The EP was inspired by Calvi\u2019s transformed outlook after becoming a parent. \u201cHaving a child was so transformative it made me consider the possibility that everything in life could potentially shift, and that is scary but incredibly freeing,\u201d she said in a press release. \u201cI\u00a0didn\u2019t\u00a0want to take anything for granted any more. I want to exist in the best way for my child. I wanted to ask the most basic human question\u2014is this all there is?\u201d<\/p>\n

In recent years Calvi has worked as a TV composer, releasing scores for two seasons of Peaky Blinders<\/a> in 2023. She put out her last full-length, Hunter<\/a>, in 2018, as well as a reimagined version of that album, Hunted<\/a>, in 2020.<\/p>\n
