{"id":276556,"date":"2026-02-10T08:04:09","date_gmt":"2026-02-10T08:04:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/276556\/"},"modified":"2026-02-10T08:04:09","modified_gmt":"2026-02-10T08:04:09","slug":"sydney-author-penned-offensive-child-abuse-novel-court-finds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/276556\/","title":{"rendered":"Sydney author penned &#8216;offensive&#8217; child abuse novel, court finds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Christian author behind an &#8220;undeniably offensive&#8221; toddler-roleplaying novel could face time behind bars after the book was found to contain child abuse material.<\/p>\n<p>Warning: This story contains details which some readers may find distressing<\/p>\n<p>Lauren Ashley Mastrosa, 34, wrote Daddy&#8217;s Little Toy under the pen name Tori Woods and published it through an online pre-release in March.<\/p>\n<p>The book was about an 18-year-old woman named Lucy who roleplayed as a toddler with Arthur, an older man who was her father&#8217;s best friend.<\/p>\n<p>Mastrosa was charged after the book sparked outrage and on Tuesday was found guilty of three child abuse material charges.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The defendant has written a book that sexually objectifies children,&#8221; magistrate Bree Chisholm said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The reader is left with a description that creates the visual image in one&#8217;s mind of an adult male engaging in sexual activity with a young child.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The 34-year-old sat with her husband in a packed courtroom at Blacktown Local Court as the magistrate read out details from the 210-page novel.<\/p>\n<p>The book&#8217;s cover was coloured pink pastel with the title spelled out in children&#8217;s alphabet blocks, the court heard.<\/p>\n<p>A myriad of trigger warnings at the beginning of the book included age gap, daddy kink, infantilisation, physical abuse, profanity, sexually explicit scenes and slut-shaming.<\/p>\n<p>Lucy&#8217;s genitals were described in detail, as was the sexual activity she engaged in with Arthur while pretending to be a toddler.<\/p>\n<p>Chisholm \u2013 who sat down to read the entire book \u2013 found the female protagonist was implied to be a child despite repeated references to her being 18.<\/p>\n<p>In the novel, Arthur referred to Lucy as &#8220;baby girl&#8221; or &#8220;my little girl&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The teen was also described engaging in child-like behaviour such as having tantrums, needing to be bathed, wearing nappies and playing with children&#8217;s toys.<\/p>\n<p>She iwas also described using child-like language such as &#8220;wee wee&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Importantly, those descriptions and language are used in the portions of the book to describe a character similar to a young child when the sexual activity is occurring,&#8221; Chisholm said. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The language is repeated again and again.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/where-to-get-help-for-sexual-violence-C2K5HLZWUBB65NSZABEY3BFJBM.png\" alt=\"Where to get help for sexual violence.\" width=\"800\" height=\"448\" loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"ImageMetadata__MetadataParagraph-sc-hi5x8q-0 cWTYyG image-metadata\">Where to get help for sexual violence.
