Bill Maher<\/a> revealed that he has an ongoing feud with Jimmy Kimmel.<\/p>\n

Speaking on his Club Random show to comedian Adam Carolla \u2014 who previously hosted The Man Show with Kimmel from 1999 to 2004 \u2014 Maher, 70, admitted that Kimmel, 58, is angry with him, but never specified why.<\/p>\n

\u201cJimmy Kimmel, you know, he\u2019s very mad at me and I know you\u2019re close to him,\u201d the Real Time host told his guest<\/a> on Monday, February 9. \u201cI hope you tell him that I\u2019m sorry that it got bent out of shape. I don\u2019t think I did anything wrong. We can have disagreements. I mean, you and I don\u2019t agree on everything, look at this clash now, and yet we\u2019re cool.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Maher, politics played a part in the disagreement between them.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Republicans are always this sort of difference between the right and the left. It bugs me so much,\u201d he said. \u201cMy tribe is supposed to be the left, but these are the people who just can\u2019t talk to you unless you\u2019re exactly there, whereas the Republicans, they always f**king come to my show.\u201d<\/p>\n

Noting that he exchanged emails with Kimmel in an effort to patch things up, Maher explained he shared a \u201cmea culpa\u201d with the late-night host but \u201cnot about what he was complaining about.\u201d Instead, Maher seemingly apologized for being \u201cbrash\u201d when being compared to other traditional late night hosts.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou could all exchange your monologues and no one would know the difference in tone,\u201d he alleged. \u201cWhereas me, I\u2019m not there. I don\u2019t just buy into the left wing bulls**t.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI never stop making fun of the right-wing bullshit at all!\u201d Maher continued. \u201cAnd like, if that\u2019s not good enough for you, then I think you\u2019re the a**hole, and I don\u2019t think Jimmy is an a**hole\u2026 I think he\u2019s a great guy, and it bugs me that, you know, because of what the latest thing was, that, you know, we may never talk again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Maher never elaborated on what initially caused the rift with Kimmel. However, Variety<\/a> pointed out in a story published on February 9 that Maher previously criticized Kimmel\u2019s wife, Molly McNearney, after she publicly stated that she has cut ties with family<\/a> members who support President Donald Trump<\/a> in November. The politician, 79, has been known to publicly go after Kimmel.<\/p>\n

Maher previously touched on McNeary\u2019s stance during an episode of Real Time in November. \u201cShe says she\u2019s lost relationships with relatives because she wrote them an email before the election with ten reasons why they shouldn\u2019t vote for Trump, and some still didn\u2019t obey, so you know,\u201d Maher said at the time<\/a>. \u201cUltimatums. Ten reasons? I can think of 100,\u201d he shared. \u201cBut I would never present it to someone as an ultimatum. Ultimatums don\u2019t make people rethink their politics. They make them rethink you.\u201d<\/p>\n
