Like many other conservative commentators, Fox News<\/a>\u2019 Greg Gutfeld<\/a> had a lot to say about Bad Bunny\u2019s Super Bowl halftime show<\/a>, and his suggestion for a future performance to coincide with the big game doesn\u2019t seem likely to be taken up by the NFL anytime soon. <\/p>\n

On Monday\u2019s episode of Fox News\u2019 \u201cThe Five,\u201d<\/a> Gutfeld offered an eyebrow-raising critique of Bad Bunny\u2019s show, briefly mocking the Latin pop superstar \u2015 who hails from Puerto Rico and performs primarily in Spanish \u2015 by speaking in a fake accent at one point. <\/p>\n

\u201cAs a proud Latina, I don\u2019t care for it,\u201d he said, derisively. \u201cThe music itself was mediocre. I didn\u2019t even listen to it, but I did enjoy watching it.\u201d <\/p>\n

Gutfeld, however, didn\u2019t stop there, and went on to jokingly propose a halftime show that would include a host of Jewish stereotypes and culminate in a circumcision. <\/p>\n

\u201cWhat about the Jews, OK? There are twice as many Jews in the United States,\u201d he said. \u201cWhere is the Jewish halftime? Where are the dancing accountants? The men slinging pastrami, the Jewish mothers telling you to get a sweater on … and then, you cap it off with a live circumcision right at the 50-yard line.\u201d<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in his rant, Gutfeld argued that \u201ctwice as many Puerto Ricans are in the United States as in Puerto Rico,\u201d overlooking the fact that the Caribbean archipelago has been a territory of the U.S. since 1898. <\/p>\n

He then dismissed Bad Bunny\u2019s embrace of Boricua symbolism<\/a> in his performance, zooming in on the utility poles that appeared during \u201cEl Apago\u0301n<\/a>,\u201d a 2022 song that references<\/a> the intermittent power outages Puerto Rico has experienced in recent years. <\/p>\n

Bad Bunny\u2019s halftime show drew wide<\/a> acclaim<\/a> and massive ratings. Still, his opposition<\/a> to President Donald Trump<\/a>\u2019s crackdown on immigrants \u2015 as reiterated in his speech at the Grammy Awards<\/a> earlier this month \u2015 has made him a lightning rod for conservative criticism<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Turning Point USA, the right-wing political group founded by slain activist Charlie Kirk<\/a>, went so far as to organize<\/a> an alternative \u201cAll-American Halftime Show\u201d after the NFL selected Bad Bunny as its halftime headliner. <\/p>\n

The \u201cAll-American Halftime Show\u201d featured a performance by Kid Rock, a Trump loyalist.
