We heard its first single and fans got hyped for James McBain’s next work. Now, we’ve got another single and once again, it’s worth getting hyped over.

The latest track released by Hellripper is none other than the title track from the forthcoming album Coronach, which will be released to the world on March 27 via Century Media Records. Featuring eight new tracks, this new track highlights the fact that there’s a lot to get excited about for this new release.

Speaking of the track, McBain said:

“A coronach is a vocal lament traditionally performed at funerals in the Scottish highlands. Intertwined with my own words is the poem of the same name by Sir Walter Scott, which served as an inspiration for this story: the funeral of an ambivalent and mysterious figure, revered by his community for his heroic deeds but whose life hid many dark secrets. As well as lyrically, the track is also a musical experiment for me; it was primarily influenced by late 80’s thrash metal along with bands like Bathory, Gallowbraid and Atlantean Kodex. A dash of post-punk, a fair amount of Iron Maiden-style guitar harmonies, some classical references and the haunting wail of the bagpipes fading in the distance: this song feels like the perfect farewell to the album.”

Coronach will be released on March 27 via Century Media Records, but you can preorder your copy today.

Coronach Tracklisting:

Hunderprest (05:49)

Kinchyle (Goatkraft and Granite) (04:33)

The Art of Resurrectin (05:44)

Baobhan Sith (Waltz of the Damned) (06:24

Blakk Satanik Fvkkstorm (03:53)

Sculptor’s Cave (04:35)

Mortercheyn (04:18)

Coronach (08:48)

Last month, Scottish blackened thrash metal project Hellripper revealed that there will soon be a brand new album…

[28
156,156384,157,111,139,69
post-278506","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-music","tag-entertainment","tag-hellripper","tag-music","tag-new-zealand","tag-newzealand","tag-nz
["GET
