Fractal Analytics&#8217; $314-million initial public offering, the first for a pure-play Indian <a href=\"https:\/\/tech.yahoo.com\/ai\/\" data-ylk=\"slk:artificial intelligence;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">artificial intelligence<\/a> firm, was \u200cfully subscribed on the final day of bidding on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">The Mumbai-based \u200ccompany received bids for 27.23 million shares as of 1:39 p.m. IST, against 18.58 million \u200bshares on offer, exchange data showed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">Fractal set a price band of 857 rupees to 900 rupees per share and is seeking a valuation of up to 144.5 billion rupees ($1.59 billion) at the upper-end of the band.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">Founded in 2000, \u200cthe enterprise AI and analytics \u2060company counts some of the world&#8217;s largest technology and consumer firms, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/organizations\/microsoft\/\" data-ylk=\"slk:Microsoft;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Microsoft<\/a> and Alphabet, among its clients.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">Fractal \u2060had trimmed its issue size by over 40% after it was advised to &#8220;leave money on the table&#8221;, as AI is a new investment category for investors, \u200bCEO \u200bSrikanth Velamakanni told Reuters last week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">The IPO \u200bcomes amid global fears of \u200cartificial intelligence-driven disruption that have triggered a sell-off in software stocks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">&#8220;Unfortunately for Fractal, its IPO has come at a time when there is a lot of concern around impact of AI tools like Anthropic on data analytics and software businesses,&#8221; said Vipul Bhowar, senior director at Waterfield Advisors.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">Qualified institutional \u200cinvestors led the subscriptions, bidding for 2 \u200btimes the number of shares on offer for \u200bthem, while the portions \u200bset aside for retail and non-institutional investors were subscribed 77% \u200cand 45%, respectively.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">Lack of valuation comfort \u200bkept investors cautious, \u200btwo analysts said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">SBICAPS Securities said the valuation looks elevated given the relatively modest compounded annual revenue growth of 18% between fiscal years 2023 \u200band 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">Shares of the \u200ccompany are expected to debut on the bourses on February \u200b16.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">(Reporting by Komal Salecha and Vivek Kumar M in Bengaluru;
