Nearly four decades after \u201cDirty Dancing\u201d became a cultural phenomenon, Jennifer Grey is once again drawing attention \u2014 this time on social media.<\/p>\n
Grey, 65, who starred as \u201cBaby\u201d opposite Patrick Swayze\u2019s Johnny in the 1987 hit film, shared swimsuit photos earlier this week from a getaway with her close friend, actress Tracy Pollan.<\/p>\n
\u201cLong overdue girls trip @tracy.pollan \ud83e\udd0d giggled like we were back in high school,\u201d Grey captioned the post.<\/p>\n
Pollan also shared photos from the trip on her own Instagram page, writing, \u201cBest time with my bestie @jennifergrey.\u201d<\/p>\n
Fans of the film flooded the comments section with supportive messages. \u201cYou\u2019re one of a kind,\u201d one follower wrote. Another added, \u201cBaby, you\u2019ll always be our favorite.\u201d Others referenced the movie\u2019s iconic line: \u201cNobody puts Baby in a corner.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cDirty Dancing,\u201d released 39 years ago, won multiple awards, including the Academy Award for best original song for \u201c(I\u2019ve Had) The Time of My Life.\u201d The film\u2019s climactic lift scene remains one of its most memorable moments.<\/p>\n
Grey was previously married to actor Clark Gregg. The couple announced their separation in July 2020 after 19 years of marriage.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter 19 years together, we separated in January, knowing we\u2019ll always be a family who loves, values and cares for each other,\u201d they said in a joint statement at the time. \u201cWe recently made the difficult decision to divorce, but we remain close and are grateful for the life we\u2019ve shared and the wonderful daughter we\u2019ve raised.\u201d They concluded the statement by writing, \u201cP.S. Totally crying as we post this.\u201d<\/p>\n
Following the Oct. 7 attack, Grey addressed the events in an interview with ynet, comparing the tragedy to the Holocaust. She recalled watching the news with her 22-year-old daughter.<\/p>\n
