Scream 7 has officially been rated R by the MPA for \u201cstrong bloody violence, gore, and language.\u201d<\/p>\n

That\u2019s what we\u2019ve come to expect from the franchise. Here\u2019s what earned the previous installments their R ratings:<\/p>\n

Scream: \u201cStrong graphic horror violence and gore, and for language\u201d
\nScream 2: \u201cLanguage and strong bloody violence\u201d
\nScream 3: \u201cStrong horror violence and language\u201d
\nScream 4: \u201cStrong bloody violence, language and some teen drinking\u201d
\nScream (2022): \u201cStrong bloody violence, language throughout, and some sexual references\u201d
\nScream VI: \u201cStrong bloody violence and language throughout, and brief drug use\u201d<\/p>\n

The latest entry in the slasher saga opens in theaters \u2014 including IMAX, Dolby Cinema, 4DX, and other premium large formats \u2014 on February 27 via Paramount.<\/p>\n

Kevin Williamson (writer of Scream, Scream 2, and Scream 4) directs from a script he co-wrote with Guy Busick (Scream\u00a02022, Scream VI).<\/p>\n

When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott has built a new life, her darkest fears are realized as her daughter becomes the next target. Determined to protect her family, Sidney must face the horrors of her past to put an end to the bloodshed once and for all.<\/p>\n

Neve Campbell returns alongside franchise veterans Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Matthew Lillard, Scott Foley, Mason Gooding, and Jasmin Savoy Brown.<\/p>\n

Isabel May, Anna Camp, Joel McHale, Mckenna Grace, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, Asa Germann,\u00a0Celeste O\u2019Connor, Sam Rechner, Ethan Embry, Timothy Simons, and Mark Consuelos round out the cast.<\/p>\n

William Sherak, James Vanderbilt, and Paul Neinstein produce.<\/p>\n
