David Ellison<\/a> has a vocal new ally in Ancora Holdings Group, an activist investor that has come out swinging hard against Warner Bros. Discovery<\/a>\u2019s $83 billion deal with Netflix<\/a> \u2014 and in favor of Paramount Skydance<\/a>\u2019s hostile takeover offer.<\/p>\n

Ancora<\/a> says it is a \u201cnearly $11 billion firm\u201d that holds an approximately $200 million economic interest in Warner Bros. Discovery. That would represent well under 1% of the total shares in Wbd.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, Ancora released a presentation outlining the reasons for its \u201cstrong opposition\u201d to the proposed sale of WB<\/a>\u2019s studios and HBO Max<\/a> to Netflix.
