Touch Girl Apple Blossom are part of the recent resurgence of jangly, punky indie pop that underground labels like K Records first helped pioneer in the ’80s and ’90s. Appropriately, K imprint Perennial will release the Austin quartet’s debut album Graceful this May, and based off today’s lead single “The Springtime Reminds Me Of…,” it’ll be a good one.<\/p>\n

Graceful was recorded by Max Deems on one-inch tape in Austin and mastered by Amy Dragon. The ultra-catchy, riff-heavy “The Springtime Reminds Me Of…” toes the line between sentimental and existential: “We\u2019re falling, bird calling\/ Reminder that you\u2019re alive\/ Sun shining, it\u2019s biting\/ I want to stay inside\/ But I must go.” Listen below.<\/p>\n
