\n\tTom Morello<\/a> is usually very direct with his feelings on political matters, but after seeing a video of Kid Rock performing for a minuscule crowd on the Turning Point USA stage, the Rage Against the Machine<\/a> rocker deployed a rare piece of sarcasm.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Wednesday (Feb. 11), Morello reposted a clip on X<\/a> of the hip-hop\/country star on the set of the conservative organization\u2019s alternative to the Super Bowl\u2019s Bad Bunny-starring halftime show, with TPUSA billing its program as the \u201cAll-American Halftime Show.\u201d Kid Rock was one of a few headliners, and in the video, he raps in front of a few dozen audience members. At one point, he signals for them to wave their arms to the beat of the song, but no one complies.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAmerica is finally great again,\u201d Morello wrote sardonically, putting a spin on President Donald Trump\u2019s signature \u201cMake America Great Again\u201d slogan. \u201cThank you.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tBillboard has reached out to Kid Rock and Turning Point\u2019s reps for comment.<\/p>\n

\n\tIt\u2019s unclear whether the video circulating on social media was filmed during the actual taping of Turning Point\u2019s show \u2014 which also featured performances from Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice and Gabby Barrett \u2014 or a rehearsal. One day before Morello\u2019s barbed post, Kid Rock confirmed that the showcase had been pretaped instead of broadcast live, and also shut down rumors he\u2019d lip-synched during his time on stage.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIf I was ever going to lip-synch, which I wouldn\u2019t, [\u2018Bawitdaba\u2019] would be the last song I would ever \u2026 do it to,\u201d he explained <\/a>in a video posted to his social media, at one point flipping off any \u201chaters and the trolls\u201d watching. \u201cThe problem is people amplify this all over the internet \u2026 they do it far too often, especially in the fake news media, the left-wingers, crazy libt\u2013ds.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tBeyond trolling Kid Rock on X, Morello made his support for Bad Bunny\u2019s historic halftime performance known by resharing a number of posts uplifting Benito and criticizing Turning Point. One of them spotlighted Zach Bryan\u2019s recent message<\/a> on Instagram bashing the alternate halftime, in which the country singer wrote, \u201cI don\u2019t care what side you\u2019re on, a bunch of adults throwing temper tantrums and their own halftime show is embarrassing as hell and the most cringe s\u2013t on the planet.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMorello was also present at Levi\u2019s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., to watch the Super Bowl on Sunday (Feb. 8), which \u2014 as shared on his Instagram<\/a> \u2014 he used as an opportunity to display an \u201cICE Out\u201d banner in protest of the immigration enforcement operations happening across the United States. In response to ICE officers shooting two civilians in Minneapolis in January, he traveled to the city and hosted a benefit concert<\/a> to show solidarity for the community. <\/p>\n
