But the nerves were certainly wracking this episode, because not only do we have a new traitor in the form of innocent, sweet Eric, but we also saw everybody turn on each other after being left absolutely confused by the end of the game. It appears the Traitors made the right call, but did they turn all the Faithful against them in the process? Or did something change after the last roundtable? I honestly didn’t think I’d have fun watching this show, considering I don’t know any of these people, but now I’m really feeling fully in the game, and I want to be able to make the right predictions. With that said though, let’s get into the 9th episode so we can figure out next week if I’ve got my eye on the prize.

Who Is The First Person Murdered By Eric And Rob?

I don’t know exactly how I feel about this pairing, but Rob has always been someone I’ve not liked, since he’s very manipulative and even got rid of the two queen bees who were meant to be on his team. I really like Eric; as a K-pop stan, he was obviously number one on my list of favorite players, even before I started watching the show. But it will definitely be interesting to see him play the traitor for once. Additionally, I don’t know if he has it in him to not show his real feelings on his face. I think it might end up becoming obvious later on that he could be a traitor, so that’s one thing I’m worried about. Anyway, for the duo’s first murder, they have a choice between Natalie, Dorinda, and Stephen. Now, Dorinda is very loyal to both the boys, which is exactly why, if they get rid of her, there’s no way they would be implicated. So, that’s the choice they make. I do think, on the other hand, Stephen and Natali are both very suspicious people to the rest of the gang, so it’s not the best idea to get rid of them. However, they could also turn the tables really quickly, so these two have got to be careful. Now, I’m not going to lie, I do think Maura has her eyes set on Rob, but she just needs to change her focus a little bit, and she’ll be able to catch him red-handed. She’s been acting like she’s very close to him, but it could be a tactic, no? She does seem to be one of those blanketed players, but she’s actually really good at this game, somehow.

What’s The Game For Episode 9?

In this episode, the Traitors and the Faithful are made to get into boxes, and right in front of those boxes, the Traitors need to come out and then answer a question. Finally, in a jack-in-the-box situation, Alan will open a box with the answer the Traitors give; if it matches the answers of the contestants, they get money. The cash up for grabs is 18000 dollars in this game, but the team only makes 5500 (whoops). The questions asked in this game are, “Who is the most useful player to the Traitors?” and they answer Tara. “Who do the Traitors find most manipulative?” They also answer Tara. “Who do the Traitors think doesn’t deserve to make it to the finals?” They also answer Tara. And finally, “Who do the traitors want to murder that night?” This gives them 4 shortlisted names, and they get locked in the boxes. For the first two answers, the gang doesn’t get much, because they don’t realize the game the Traitors are playing. Eric makes the smart decision of answering with Tara to match the answer and at least get some money. For the 3rd question, everybody decides to write Tara, except Tara and Johnny don’t put her name down. This means they don’t get the money for their answers. The 4 names shortlisted are Johnny, Tara, Kristen, and Natalie. I think it’s quite obvious that these would be the people to be chosen from. It’s a shame Eric couldn’t be on that list to immunize himself, but also I don’t think it would really make sense, because these players are quite smart at catching on.

What’s Up With Johnny And Tara?

Now, the most surprising thing here is that Johnny and Tara decide they’re going to team up because everybody thinks they’re both traitors anyway. They’ve always been loyal to each other, and don’t want to change that because that would be more like Traitor behavior. They instead double down on the whole “we are besties in real life, so we will stay besties in this game too” thing. Now, this threatens Eric and Rob’s strategy, because if they get rid of one of them, the other will clearly be cleared of suspicion. Johnny and Tara are tired of being careful and want to just do their own thing now. They already know they’re not going to make it. This all started because of Johnny’s close friendship with Candiace.

Who Is Kicked Out During The Roundtable?

Now, between Johnny and Stephen, the roundtable is uncertain about who is a traitor. At the moment, no eyes are on Eric and Rob, but now everyone knows that Rob has the dagger, which allows him two votes. He doesn’t use it here. Now, Stephen has no real defense for when Lisa put the gold in his treasure, whereas on the other hand, Johnny uses his words and loyalty to talk about how he’s kind and always real, so he’ll always speak the truth. He says he’s never felt the need to express that he’s not a Traitor, because he’s just not, and that’s his proof. Somehow, this sways a few people, and Natalie’s really good at making her case, and she does so against Stephen. Some vote for Johnny, others for Tara (doesn’t make sense considering why she would put her own name in the game). Anyway, Stephen going out makes the group too narrow for one of the two traitors not to be caught, and since it’s not Rob, who just knows how to keep people by his side, it’s got to be Eric. And this time it’s Kristen who notices he’s not very vocal at the roundtable. Unusual of him, considering he’s always cared about presenting his opinion.

Who Will The Traitors Choose?

Now this is the real question. At the end of episode 9, we’re left hanging as to who the boys choose, because we only see the 4 shortlisted players turn the wheel, where one will see a traitor pop out of the box. I don’t think it’s either Johnny or Tara, which leaves Kristen and Natalie. I think the obvious answer here is Natalie, but while that’s removing a threat, she’s also one of the players who seems to be most Traitor-like, so it’s like losing a lifeline. Ultimately though, if they choose Kristen, Eric’s gone for sure. While Rob can pretend to be siding with him, he’ll turn like a chameleon any moment. So I really hope Eric knows what to do.
