{"id":282985,"date":"2026-02-14T00:01:09","date_gmt":"2026-02-14T00:01:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/282985\/"},"modified":"2026-02-14T00:01:09","modified_gmt":"2026-02-14T00:01:09","slug":"celeste-barber-husband-api-robin-split-after-20-years-deeply-heartbreaking","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/282985\/","title":{"rendered":"Celeste Barber &#038; Husband Api Robin Split After 20 Years: &#8216;Deeply Heartbreaking&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>          <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"img-fluid img-aspect-3by2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/e63f740fc8694f1090e4bd1bbf282c6b_md.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><br \/>\n                      Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>Comedian Celeste Barber and her husband Api Robin are going their separate ways after 20 years together.<\/p>\n<p>Robin announced their separation on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>He wrote on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DUsNCBfEi5I\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Instagram<\/a>, \u201cThe past few months have been incredibly challenging and deeply heartbreaking for us both.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter much reflection, the decision has been made to separate,\u201d Api went on. \u201cThere is still love and respect between us, but sadly we are at capacity and have come to recognize we may want for different things.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Acknowledging their two sons Lou and Buddy, he stressed, \u201cOur priority remains our children and their wellbeing. We kindly ask for privacy and understanding as we navigate this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Api is also the father of two daughters from a previous marriage.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The separation comes nine months after their celebrated their 12th\u00a0wedding anniversary.<\/p>\n<p>In May, Celeste wrote on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DJcqdC9TEsb\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Instagram<\/a>, \u201cA love letter to my husband on our 12th wedding anniversary.
