All four band members, Matiu Walters, Ji Fraser, Chris Mac, and Marlon Gerbes, were present, but lead vocalist Walters was the only one to address the crowd.<\/p>\n
\u201cI had no idea we were gonna do this,\u201d Walters told the crowd of a few hundred people.<\/p>\n
\u201cSomeone said there was a rumour that we were playing and we were just next door and we couldn\u2019t leave you hanging.\u201d<\/p>\n
Talking about their new album, Walters said: \u201cWe believe it\u2019s our best work.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe had the best time making this music.\u201d<\/p>\n
He sang three songs, We Made It, Endlessly – which is currently his favourite song from the new album, he said – and Don\u2019t forget your roots, with Fraser, Mac and Gerbes there for moral support and quiet background vocals.<\/p>\n
The last song had the crowd confidently singing along, while We Made It and Endlessly were met with quiet anticipation.<\/p>\n

Walters said laughingly that the crowd would need to practise the songs, so next time the band plays them at the market, they could sing along.<\/p>\n
Walters thanked the \u201cmighty Waikato\u201d and \u201cgreat city of Hamilton\u201d for their long-standing support of the band.<\/p>\n
Hamilton Farmers Market manager Jen Wilkinson told the Waikato Herald the team was \u201cvery excited\u201d about this opportunity.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe haven\u2019t had something this special before.\u201d<\/p>\n
Wilkinson said while there was a notable \u201cuplift\u201d in market attendees, she hadn\u2019t received official data yet.<\/p>\n
