West Bengal actors Jyotirmoyee Kundu and Sushmita Chatterjee are set to make their Dhallywood debuts this Eid-ul-Fitr. While Jyotirmoyee recently spoke about acting opposite Shakib Khan in \u201cPrince\u201d, Sushmita has now opened up about her experience working with Siam Ahmed in the upcoming action-romance \u201cRakkhosh\u201d.<\/p>\n
Speaking about her co-star, Sushmita said Siam was \u201cwonderful\u201d to work with and that audiences will see strong on-screen chemistry between them. \u201cOur bonding off-screen has also grown into a good friendship. From the beginning, he supported me a lot, which made working in front of the camera much easier. I hope the audience will like our pairing,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Sushmita travelled to Bangladesh in December to begin shooting for \u201cRakkhosh\u201d. Shortly after, the country experienced unrest following the fatal shooting of Inquilab Mancha spokesperson Osman Hadi. Despite the tense situation, the actress said the film\u2019s team ensured her safety and comfort. \u201cI saw how quickly circumstances could change in a country, but I personally did not feel the intensity of it. The shoot was paused for safety reasons, but the team took great care of me,\u201d she noted.<\/p>\n
The actress also faced initial challenges with pronunciation differences between Bangladeshi and West Bengal Bangla. However, with support from the cast and crew, she quickly adapted. After completing portions in Bangladesh, the team filmed for nearly a month in Sri Lanka. Only two songs remain to be shot before production wraps.<\/p>\n
Directed by Mehedi Hasan Hridoy, \u201cRakkhosh\u201d is described as an action-driven romantic story slated for release during Eid-ul-Fitr. Sushmita expressed optimism about the film\u2019s prospects, drawing parallels to her earlier Eid release \u201cChengiz\u201d opposite Jeet. \u201cIt\u2019s interesting that both films share Eid as a common factor. I hope \u2018Rakkhosh\u2019 receives a similar response. The poster shows a rose on the hero\u2019s lips, which hints at romance. My character has many layers, and I found it very fulfilling to portray,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Following Bangladesh\u2019s 13th National Parliamentary Election, Sushmita also shared her hopes for stronger cultural exchange between Bangladesh and India.
