Hart, 46, trains 6 days a week for an hour and half each day. <\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"11\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">Speaking to Business Insider, Hart&#8217;s trainer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/justtrain\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-vars-ga-outbound-link=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/justtrain\/\" data-vars-ga-ux-element=\"Hyperlink\" data-vars-ga-call-to-action=\"Ross Everline\" data-node-id=\"11.3\" class=\"body-link css-10fnnmt emevuu60\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Ross Everline<\/a> said, &#8216;He wanted to get on the cover of Men&#8217;s Health. I said I&#8217;m the man to help you get there \u2013 if you listen to the rules.&#8217; This meant lifting weights and HIIT.<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"15\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">Consistency is important for the coach \u2013 repeating the basics while gradually increasing load. Everline explained, &#8216;Age doesn&#8217;t really factor into what we&#8217;re capable of. Training in a certain fashion keeps you young and vibrant. However, they now train smarter: instead of lifting as heavy as possible, they focus on rep quality.<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"32\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">&#8216;The lifting now is more tailored toward more mobility and stretching. As you get older, it&#8217;s less load,&#8217; says Everline, adding that building muscle is still as important as ever, &#8216;Muscle is a foundational principle as you get older. The more muscle you have, the better you are.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"36\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">The trainer added that while lifting maximum loads can drive muscle growth, it isn\u2019t essential. Performing high-quality reps with lighter loads can offer significant benefits as you age.<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"40\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">One constant in Hart\u2019s training, however, is sprint work.<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"44\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">Everline says, &#8216;We sprint a lot to get our heart rate up and keep us super young.&#8217; Hart and the coach complete track sessions with repeated 100-200 metre sprints, along with 1-minute treadmill sprints. &#8216;Most people don&#8217;t sprint after a certain age. If you continue to use it, you can still run a sprint when you&#8217;re 50 or 60, and that&#8217;s why it&#8217;s a foundational principle for us.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"50\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">Another way Everline ensures the workouts stay fun is by making them competitive, &#8216;It keeps the gamification a part of how we train at a very, very high level,&#8217; Everline said. But the real motivator for the comedian is the individualisation of the programme to suit him, that\u2019s what makes it repeatable. &#8216;It&#8217;s really finding a formula that fits you, taking it day-by-day, and not trying to have all the answers at once,&#8217; says Everline, &#8216;That&#8217;s what longevity is built on.
