This November will see Toho and GKIDS debut \u201cGodzilla Minus Zero,\u201d the follow-up to the critically acclaimed and Oscar-winning 2024 feature \u201cGodzilla Minus One,\u201d which was widely lauded.<\/p>\n

Made for just $15 million, it grossed $113 million worldwide and quickly led to filmmaker Takashi Yamazaki returning for a follow-up.<\/p>\n

Now, an unconfirmed production synopsis for the sequel has popped up online from Dread Central<\/a> and indicates lead actors Minami Hamabe and Sae Nagatani will both return.<\/p>\n

It also claims a second kaiju will make its presence known in the story, as well as a scarier take on the big lizard himself.<\/p>\n

The synopsis is NOT from either Toho or trade papers, so it is not confirmed at this time \u2013 merely a rumor. Here is what the story, which was said to be found in a production listing, says:<\/p>\n

\u201cFollowing the devastation of Godzilla\u2019s first rampage in \u2018Godzilla Minus One,\u2019 K\u014dichi Shikishima is determined to lead a quiet life, rebuilding his family with Noriko (Minami Hamabe) and young Akiko (Sae Nagatani) while stepping away from the nightmares of war and monsters.<\/p>\n

However, peace is short-lived when Godzilla returns, fully regenerated, larger and more ferocious, while something ancient begins to stir beneath Aokigahara near Mount Fuji, endangering the fragile nation and forcing K\u014dichi to reconsider his promise.<\/p>\n

With stakes higher than ever, K\u014dichi reluctantly returns to the fight, teaming up with old comrades, and U.S.-Japan alliance forces to confront the two kaiju and protect those he loves, especially as Noriko\u2019s cell connection to Godzilla strengthens, pulling her dangerously closer to the monster\u2019s rage.\u201d<\/p>\n
