Again teaming with Derek Kolstad, the creator of John Wick and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.avclub.com\/bob-odenkirk-is-nobody-you-want-to-mess-with-in-this-st-1846510173\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nobody<\/a>, Odenkirk returns to the way of the gun in Normal, a snow-blind action comedy that adds a small sprinkle of Fargo to his run of actioners. Directed by Ben Wheatley (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.avclub.com\/a-high-rise-collapses-into-anarchy-in-this-crazed-class-1798187731\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">High-Rise<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.avclub.com\/the-slapstick-star-powered-gunplay-of-free-fire-is-goi-1798191069\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Free Fire<\/a>), who describes the movie as rooted in classic westerns like High Noon, the movie leans even more into Odenkirk\u2019s ornery persona as the new sheriff of a small town where idiots keep killing each other.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\ufeff<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s the synopsis:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor Sheriff Ulysses (Odenkirk), his provisional posting to the quaint Midwestern American town of Normal was meant to be a welcome respite from both his marital woes and recent moral injuries in the line of duty. But when a botched bank robbery interrupts the municipality\u2019s tranquil pace, a dark secret is inadvertently exposed, and Ulysses soon discovers that the town is anything but its namesake.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nobody also stars a couple of Sunday night HBO heavyweights: Lena Heady and Henry Winkler as the Normal mayor, who\u2019s covering up the secret of what keeps the town together. Might it have something to do with those High Table-looking dudes at the end of the trailer?
