Hailee Steinfeld<\/a> is on the edge of motherhood.<\/p>\n

The Sinners actress\u2014who announced she was welcoming her first baby<\/a> with husband Josh Allen<\/a> in December\u2014shared a glimpse inside how she\u2019s preparing for the arrival of the couple\u2019s little one.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis week, I was sitting on the couch in my family room, and the reality that our little family is about to grow really started to settle in,\u201d Hailee shared in the Feb. 20 issue of her Beau Society newsletter. \u201cOf course, I have all the to-do lists (which you know I love), and I\u2019ve been busy with research and the general life reorganization that happens when you\u2019re about to have a baby.\u201d<\/p>\n

That said, the mama-to-be is also doing the inner work before her and the Buffalo Bills quarterback<\/a>\u2019s baby is born.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut the most profound and grounding part of getting ready for this baby has been the introspective side of it: the quiet conversations I\u2019m having with myself almost every day,\u201d she explained. \u201cSometimes I find myself asking big, lofty questions (what am I going to be like as a mom?) or having vivid daydreams of what our life is about to look like when the three of us are cuddled up in the nursery together.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile tuning in, I\u2019ve experienced this surreal, full-body awareness that our world is about to expand in beautiful ways,\u201d The Edge of Seventeen star added. \u201cWe\u2019re getting ready to meet someone we already love so much. I\u2019ve racked my brain for words to describe that feeling, and I don\u2019t have them yet. Maybe that\u2019s the point. For now, I\u2019m blessed to be settling into the feeling.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hailee and Josh, both 29, announced that they were expecting<\/a> in a sweet Dec. 12 social media post. Since then, the \u201cStarving\u201d hitmaker has been experiencing her \u201cnesting phase.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cUnsurprisingly, putting together a nursery has been a joy for me,\u201d she wrote. \u201cI\u2019ve gone back and forth on tiny details more than I care to admit (why is choosing a rocking chair this emotional?), but seeing it all slowly come together has made our new life feel more tangible. Emphasis on \u2018slowly\u2019 coming together\u2014it\u2019s all still very much a work in progress.\u201d<\/p>\n

But she\u2019s been able to count on her village every step of the way.<\/p>\n

\u201cBetween helpful texts, voice notes, and the passing \u2018you\u2019ll thank me later\u2019 advice, I\u2019m starting to feel more prepared for a newborn,\u201d she explained. \u201cPlus, last weekend my mom threw the most beautiful baby shower at our home (more to come on that next week in MORE BS), which added to the \u2018this is really happening\u2019 feeling.\u201d<\/p>\n
