{"id":297429,"date":"2026-02-23T02:11:14","date_gmt":"2026-02-23T02:11:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/297429\/"},"modified":"2026-02-23T02:11:14","modified_gmt":"2026-02-23T02:11:14","slug":"over-21000-people-in-kerry-signed-up-to-new-pension-auto-enrolment-scheme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/297429\/","title":{"rendered":"Over 21,000 people in Kerry signed up to new pension auto-enrolment scheme"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Over 21,000 people in Kerry are signed up to the new pension <a href=\"https:\/\/www.radiokerry.ie\/podcasts\/in-business\/pension-auto-enrolment-463116\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">auto-enrolment scheme<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.ie\/en\/department-of-social-protection\/campaigns\/auto-enrolment\/?gad_source=1&amp;gad_campaignid=21868806363&amp;gclid=EAIaIQobChMIy4rf9vzqkgMV1JdQBh18CgAsEAAYASAAEgIJS_D_BwE\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Automatic Enrolment Retirement Savings System<\/a> aims to address the pension coverage gap that exists and to provide workers with access to a quality assured retirement savings scheme.<\/p>\n<p>As of the end of January, 761,789 people were signed up to the scheme nationwide.<\/p>\n<p>21,769 of those are in Kerry.<\/p>\n<p>The figures were provided by Minister for Social Protection Dara Calleary following a query by Fianna F\u00e1il TD Catherine Ardagh.<\/p>\n<p>Minister Calleary says these figures can frequently change as people&#8217;s circumstances change and as people enter and leave the labour market.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Over 21,000 people in Kerry are signed up to the new pension auto-enrolment scheme.
