EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and REI AMI lit up the stage at the EE BAFTA Film Awards with a show-stopping performance of \u2018Golden\u2019 \u2014 marking their first live performance together outside of the United States.<\/p>\n

The trio, who lend their voices to fictional K-pop group Huntr\/x in Netflix\u2019s breakout hit KPop Demon Hunters, brought the film\u2019s signature anthem to London in full cinematic fashion. Introduced by host Alan Cumming, the set began with EJAE \u2014 the singing voice of Rumi \u2014 crooning solo before Audrey Nuna (Mira) and REI AMI (Zoey) emerged from different corners of the venue, weaving through the crowd and commanding the room.<\/p>\n

Backed by a troupe of dancers inspired by the film\u2019s bold, high-gloss aesthetic, the performance was flamboyant, theatrical, and unapologetically K-pop. Dressed in coordinated shades of red, brown, and gold, the trio turned the BAFTAs into their own arena-sized showcase \u2014 with fellow attendees spotted singing along from their seats.<\/p>\n

Despite KPop Demon Hunters being one of Netflix\u2019s biggest hits \u2014 reportedly becoming the most-watched film in the platform\u2019s history \u2014 it was deemed ineligible for the BAFTAs due to regulations surrounding qualifying theatrical releases. A formal appeal by Netflix citing \u201cexceptional circumstances\u201d was ultimately rejected.<\/p>\n

Still, organisers clearly welcomed a dose of Huntr\/x stardust into the ceremony \u2014 and the crowd was more than ready for it.<\/p>\n

The momentum doesn\u2019t stop there. EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and REI AMI are set to perform at next weekend\u2019s BRIT Awards, where they will become the first K-pop artists to take that stage.<\/p>\n
