{"id":300135,"date":"2026-02-24T18:27:16","date_gmt":"2026-02-24T18:27:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/300135\/"},"modified":"2026-02-24T18:27:16","modified_gmt":"2026-02-24T18:27:16","slug":"anthropic-touts-new-ai-tools-weeks-after-legal-plug-in-spurred-market-rout","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/300135\/","title":{"rendered":"Anthropic touts new AI tools weeks after legal plug-in spurred market rout"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">SAN FRANCISCO, Feb 24 (Reuters) &#8211; Artificial intelligence lab Anthropic on Tuesday unveiled 10 new ways for business customers to plug in its technology to key areas \u200cof their work, weeks after other releases sparked an aggressive selloff in traditional \u200csoftware company shares.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">The San Francisco-based startup said its plug-ins could now help with investment banking tasks like reviewing \u200bdeals, wealth-management tasks such as portfolio analysis and human resource-related tasks such as making new-hire materials reflect a brand&#8217;s tone and policies.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">Other items that Anthropic touted included plug-ins for private equity, engineering and design.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">Anthropic said its new plug-ins were developed with partners, including LSEG, FactSet, Salesforce&#8217;s Slack, \u200cand DocuSign.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">Companies including Thomson Reuters, which \u2060owns Reuters news agency, and RBC Wealth Management were using AI agents powered by Anthropic, it said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">The announcement lifted the shares of Anthropic&#8217;s \u2060partner companies &#8211; Salesforce rose 4%, FactSet 5% and DocuSign nearly 6%.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">Backed by Alphabet&#8217;s Google and Amazon.com, the lab said it was releasing ways to connect its Claude AI to some commonly used business \u200btools \u200blike Google Calendar and Gmail.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">The rapid-fire releases this \u200byear show how Anthropic is seeking \u200cto get ahead of the pack in selling autonomous AI to the lucrative enterprise market ahead of a widely expected public offering.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">Anthropic faces competition from Google itself, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/organizations\/openai\/\" data-ylk=\"slk:OpenAI;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">OpenAI<\/a> and Elon Musk&#8217;s xAI, among others.
