People\u2019s lives, sorry for lack of a better term, f\u2013king suck sometimes. So I\u2019m being as honest and raw as I possibly can,\u201d she tells <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/christina-applegate-hopes-to-empower-others-with-her-revealing-memoir-exclusive-11912521\" onclick=\"getOutboundLink(&#039;https:\/\/people.com\/christina-applegate-hopes-to-empower-others-with-her-revealing-memoir-exclusive-11912521&#039;); return false;\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">People<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>However, Christina is intent on doing things with her daughter, Sadie, 15, like getting her to school and other activities. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to take her; it\u2019s my favorite thing to do. It\u2019s the only time we have together by ourselves,\u201d she says. \u201cI tell myself, \u2018Just get her there safely and get home so you can get back into bed.\u2019 And that\u2019s what I do.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Reflecting on her book, the Dead to Me star adds: \u201cWe all have come from somewhere, some places more painful than others, and it\u2019s what you do with it, I guess. This is not an inspirational book, by any means.
