Now, he\u2019s stepping into Kayce\u2019s shoes for a second time, as the Yellowstone spinoff series Marshals premieres on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS<\/a>. The new show sees Kayce becoming a U.S. marshal deep in the heart of Texas, and folks are curious to see if the character will still be the brooding individual many know from years earlier.<\/p>\n Luke has something to say about what fans can expect from Kayce on Marshals, and he opened up to Entertainment Weekly about it for an Instagram video<\/a> on February 24. When asked about Kayce\u2019s trajectory this time around, Luke admitted that he\u2019s been enjoying reprising him in ways viewers may not necessarily expect.<\/p>\n \u201cI would say it\u2019s actually kind of fun,\u201d he shared with the outlet. \u201cThere was nothing really fun about Kayce\u2019s arc in the original show. He was just always having a pretty rough time. There was just constantly something going wrong, and he was no stranger to pain. But in this show, you get to see a bit of a lighter side\u2014but not too light! Clearly, he’s got demons, and his arc was trying to heal and find his path. In the original Yellowstone, he did that.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cKayce feels like a brother in a weird way,\u201d he added. \u201cI was really surprised by how quickly my soul and my mind wanted to dive back into that. Who would’ve thought it would be for this long, you know?
