According to Deadline<\/a>, Sam Esmail is teaming with AfterShock Media and Netflix on Astronaut Down, a feature film based on the comic book of the same title by writer James Patrick and artist Rubine.\u00a0Written for the screen by\u00a0F. Scott Frazier (XXX: Return of Xander Cage), the story follows Douglas Spritzer, \u201can astronaut selected to be launched into alternate realities on a desperate mission to save Earth from a horrific crisis that has our world on the brink of extinction. Unfortunately, it\u2019s a mission where everything will go wrong, where Douglas\u2019 training and very humanity will be put to the test, and where a deep-seated secret could sabotage everything.\u201d<\/p>\n Horrorst\u00f6r <\/p>\n THR<\/a> reports Jonathan Levine (Tell Me Lies) has been hired to write and direct the film adaptation of Grady Hendrix\u2019s Horrorst\u00f6r for Searchlight Pictures. The story concerns an \u201cIkea-like furniture superstore named Orsk in Cleveland that becomes subjected to supernatural occurrences. To uncover the mystery, a group of employees sign up for a night shift, only to get way more than they bargained for, in a most sinister way.\u201d<\/p>\n A Little Slice of Hell <\/p>\n Deadline<\/a> reports David F. Sandberg is attached to direct A Little Slice of Hell, a horror film at Paramount based on a short story of the same name by John Goodrich.
