The 49-year-old actor replied: \u201cI didn\u2019t change it, my name was always Reese. I don\u2019t know your middle name.\u201d<\/p>\n
The former Friends star revealed hers is Joanna, prompting Reese to give her a new nickname.<\/p>\n
She said: \u201cI was today years old. Does anyone call you J.J.?\u201d<\/p>\n
Jennifer said: \u201cUmmm no.\u201d<\/p>\n
Reese insisted: \u201cWell, I do now!\u201d<\/p>\n
Jennifer isn\u2019t the only one of Reese\u2019s co-stars to be surprised by her real name.<\/p>\n
The Legally Blonde actor previously explained she calls her Big Little Lies co-star Laura Dern by her surname because it feels too \u201cconfusing\u201d to use her first name, much to the bafflement of castmate Nicole Kidman.<\/p>\n
In conversation for Vanity Fair last year, Nicole said: \u201cI hate how you call her Dern. It sounds so weird.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m always like \u2018Laura\u2019, and you\u2019re like \u2018No, Dern, Dern\u2019, and I\u2019m like, \u2018Why?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
Reese quickly interjected: \u201cBeause my name is Laura, and her name\u2019s Laura, and it\u2019s confusing to me. My real name\u2019s Laura Jeanne.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo, I get confused so I just call her Dern. Because we can\u2019t both be Laura.\u201d<\/p>\n
Nicole forgot her castmates share the same first name, but she was still confused by the whole situation.<\/p>\n
She pointed out: \u201cShe doesn\u2019t even call you Laura, though.\u201d<\/p>\n
