Iron Maiden bassist Steve Harris has been friends with Dave Mustaine, Megadeth frontman and the band\u2019s sole ongoing member, for years.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are very proud to have them as our special guests on their last-ever world tour,\u201d Harris said. <\/p>\n

\u201cI think our fans will really appreciate this and it will make it an even more memorable show for everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dainty described the Australasian leg, which also includes four stops across the Tasman, as the band\u2019s largest tour of the continent ever.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith Megadeth also joining the New Zealand leg, this is going to be an absolute powerhouse night of metal \u2013 two giants of the genre, one colossal production, and a show New Zealand fans won\u2019t know what hit them,” Dainty said.<\/p>\n

Iron Maiden manager Rod Smallwood said the crew is amped to make their way back to the Antipodes, saying that it\u2019s \u201calways a great experience playing to our fans there\u201d who \u201cappreciate seeing us whenever we can visit\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe band have been loving revisiting this era and especially enjoy playing these songs with the state-of-the-art visuals we\u2019ve created to accompany them,\u201d Smallwood said.<\/p>\n
