Photo \/ NCC<\/p>\n<p class=\"hVvnDVwvKaDCbCnNag\" style=\"display:none\">Mana Ahuriri Trust is the main driver behind the vision for the Te Roropipi precinct, and has been working alongside developer TW Property (part of TW Group), retirement company Metlifecare, and iwi-owned national property fund H\u0101pai.<\/p>\n<p class=\"hVvnDVwvKaDCbCnNag\" style=\"display:none\">The land at 42 Wharerangi Rd is redress property under the Ahuriri Hap\u016b Deed of Settlement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"hVvnDVwvKaDCbCnNag\" style=\"display:none\">Metlifecare purchased 6ha of that land off Mana Ahuriri H\u0101pai Limited Partnership last year within the precinct.<\/p>\n<p class=\"hVvnDVwvKaDCbCnNag\" style=\"display:none\">In a major milestone, Metlifecare was granted resource consent this week to build its $140 million new retirement village.<\/p>\n<p class=\"hVvnDVwvKaDCbCnNag\" style=\"display:none\">The retirement village will feature 150 homes\/villas as well as a care home with 20 care suites.<\/p>\n<p class=\"hVvnDVwvKaDCbCnNag\" style=\"display:none\">Construction is expected to begin for the retirement village in September, with the first villas anticipated to be completed in mid-2027.<\/p>\n<p class=\"hVvnDVwvKaDCbCnNag\" style=\"display:none\">\u201cThis is a proud moment for us,\u201d Metlifecare CEO Earl Gasparich said. <\/p>\n<p><img  alt=\"An artist impression of what the new Metlifecare retirement village will look like.
