The King<\/a> has been referenced in the Epstein files for the first time, as the crisis engulfing the British Royal Family continues.<\/p>\n

A leaked email from paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein lays the blame on \u201cCharles\u201d for the former Prince Andrew<\/a> losing his job as UK trade envoy.<\/p>\n

Sky News reports that Epstein wrote to an associate on 21 July 2011 \u2013 the day that it was announced that Andrew would step down from the role amid scrutiny over his ties to him.<\/p>\n

He was responding to an email from the associate, who wrote that there was \u201clots of TV coverage on PA and always big feature on you. Insane.\u201d<\/p>\n

In reply, Epstein wrote, \u201cI assume he knows that this is Charles\u2019 doing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sky News reported that \u201cPA\u201d was understood to refer to \u201cPrince Andrew\u201d \u2013 as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was then known.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that inclusion in the Epstein files does not indicate any criminality and Andrew \u2013 who is being investigated by British police over alleged misconduct in public office \u2013 has consistently denied wrongdoing.<\/p>\n

But the development comes as one expert claimed Charles had his \u201cdoubts\u201d about his brother\u2019s suitability for the trade envoy role right from the start.<\/p>\n

His opposition is understood to have been overruled by the Queen.<\/p>\n

Royal biographer Andrew Morton told The Lownie Report<\/a> podcast that Charles and Andrew were \u201cnever close\u201d and \u201cnot the same kinds of people\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was jealous when Andrew went off into the Falklands War, but that jealousy soon evaporated,\u201d the expert revealed of Charles.<\/p>\n

Adding to the intrigue surrounding the relationship between the two brothers is another bombshell revelation \u2013 that Andrew and Fergie once believed Charles was going to die in a car crash, leaving the door open for Andrew to become King \u2013 something the pair were \u201cexcited\u201d about.<\/p>\n

Morton explained that the \u201cbizarre story\u201d was one that Diana \u2013 the former Princess of Wales<\/a> \u2013 told him before her own death in a fiery Paris car crash.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe prophecy was that it was going to be a car accident, which is why it makes the hairs stand up on the back of your neck because it\u2019s kind of cock-eyed accuracy,\u201d the biographer shared.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe [Charles] was going to die in a car accident and Andrew would take over. I remember Fergie spoke to her soothsayers and that\u2019s what they said. It was going to be something like September 1991.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

While, of course, Charles did go on to become King \u2013 albeit amid his own fight with an undisclosed form of cancer \u2013 Morton suggests that the latest crisis facing the monarchy will leave lasting scars.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think it\u2019s going to be business as usual,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think they\u2019re going to have to make some changes\u2026 in terms of transparency. I think the monarchy will be ready for quite an extensive renovation.\u201d<\/p>\n
