Surrey Sculpture Society will make a welcome return to Ramster Garden in Chiddingfold for its sixth year this spring with a new sculpture trail.<\/p>\n

One of Surrey’s most breath-taking spring gardens is about to become even more spectacular as the garden plays host to more than 70 original sculptures never seen before at the beauty spot.<\/p>\n

Set against an incredible rhododendron and azalea backdrop, the walk will take place from May 1 to 31 (10am to 5pm) at the garden in Chiddingfold.<\/a><\/p>\n

This year’s exciting new collection presents the latest creations from established artists whose work has become a firm favourite with Ramster regulars, alongside exciting pieces from emerging sculptors.<\/p>\n

The pieces range from modern abstract to more classical styles, using ceramics, metal, glass, stone, wood and bronze.<\/p>\n

To amaze and delight its audience, the skilfully curated sculpture trail is intertwined with the woodland landscape, ablaze with colour and filled with heavenly scent.<\/p>\n

At every twist and turn, a new work reveals itself, provoking thought, stirring emotion and captivating the imagination.<\/p>\n

This year the exhibition extends beyond the garden itself, with selected pieces also displayed inside the Tea House.<\/p>\n

Also new for this year are guided tours giving a fascinating insight into the artists and the stories behind the individual sculptures.<\/p>\n

All sculptures are available to buy through the Surrey Sculpture Society, which has been championing sculpture across the region for more than 30 years.<\/p>\n

Gill Lawson, Surrey Sculpture Society exhibition manager, said: “The flowering of the azaleas and rhododendrons and the array of rare trees and shrubs add romance and drama to every piece.<\/p>\n

“Every year, the collection blends perfectly with its surroundings, immersing visitors in a moment of pure artistry and natural beauty.”<\/p>\n

Rosie Glaister of the family-run Ramster Garden, added: “The much-anticipated sculpture trail has become one of the highlights of our events calendar.<\/p>\n

“The sculptures are incredibly imaginative and add to the charm of the woodland garden. It is like they truly belong here; we always miss them when they are gone.”<\/p>\n
