Wolf Alice<\/a> have spoken to NME at the BRITs 2026<\/a> about working with Harry Styles<\/a>, and enlisting The Last Dinner Party<\/a> for their huge upcoming London show. Watch our interview in full above.<\/p>\n

The North London band caught up with us on the red carpet last night (Saturday February 28) at Manchester\u2019s Co-op Live Arena, shortly before they won the Best British Group award<\/a> for the second time in their career, and gave a powerful speech in support of UK grassroots venues.<\/a><\/p>\n

The latest win comes following a huge amount of praise for their fourth studio album \u2018The Clearing<\/a>\u2019, which was released last summer. It was their first since 2021\u2019s \u2018Blue Weekend<\/a>\u2019, and went on to see them perform a huge slot at Glastonbury 2025<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Asked whether they could feel that the album was going to be a huge success when they were recording it, bassist Theo Ellis revealed that they were actually feeling a mix of being \u201cworried, nervous and excited\u201d, particularly as they went outside of their comfort zone for album four.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe tried to push ourselves quite a lot with this record,\u201d he shared, also describing their latest run of tour dates as one of their \u201ctop tier\u201d highlights as a band\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think we knew what was going to happen at all, but that\u2019s part of the excitement and the fear of constantly making music and developing as a band. But we\u2019re really happy and we\u2019ve had some amazing experiences.\u201d<\/p>\n

Looking towards their upcoming show at London\u2019s Finsbury Park<\/a> \u2013 their biggest headline concert to date, taking place on July 5 \u2013 drummer Joel Amey shared that one of the things he was most proud of was being able to curate the stacked line-up for the gig, which includes The Last Dinner Party<\/a>, Lykke Li<\/a>, Rachel Chinouriri<\/a>, Keo and Florence Road<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m very excited. I\u2019m not nervous yet, but it has got an amazing line-up. Its a dream come true to play there, so we\u2019re very happy,\u201d he said, while singer Ellie Rowsell chimed in and explained how they selected the support acts: \u201cWe went to see The Last Dinner Party in LA when we were there, and they put on such a fantastic show.\u201d<\/p>\n

Guitarist Joff Oddie continued: \u201cSomeone said to us \u2018You should ask The Last Dinner Party\u2019 and we went \u2018No they\u2019ll never do it\u2019 \u2014 but we are so happy that they are because they\u2019re amazing. They\u2019re one of the best live bands. They\u2019re so tight, so musical.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey have two great records as well,\u201d added Ellis, referring to their 2024 breakthrough \u2018Prelude To Ecstasy<\/a>\u2019 and 2025\u2019s \u2018From The Pyre<\/a>\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was so special to be able to choose a line-up that means so much to us as music lovers. We go to their shows, and to be able to curate something like that is really important to us. It\u2019s been really fun,\u201d shared Amey.<\/p>\n

Wolf Alice were among the performers at the 2026 BRITs ceremony \u2013 taking to the stage for a bold performance of their track \u2018The Sofa\u2019 \u2013 and joined the stacked list of performers on the night, which included Harry Styles<\/a>, Olivia Dean<\/a>, HUNTR\/X\u2019s EJAE, Audrey Nuna and REI AMI<\/a>,\u00a0<\/a>Mark Ronson<\/a>, Alex Warren<\/a>, Sombr<\/a>, RAYE<\/a>, and Rosal\u00eda<\/a> \u2013 the latter of which brought out Bjork as a special guest<\/a>.<\/p>\n

For Styles, the set came as his first television performance since announcing new album \u2018Kiss All The Time. Disco Occasionally\u2019<\/a> and dropping the lead single \u2018Aperture<\/a>\u2019, which he played at the start of the show<\/a>. The album features backing vocals from Rowsell, and when asked about working with the global superstar, she shared what it meant to her to take part in the new release.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was chuffed to be able to go to his studio and listen to some of his songs and put down some harmonies,\u201d she said. \u201cIt was a real pleasure. I actually haven\u2019t heard the whole album in its entirety yet, so I\u2019m looking forward to it.\u201d<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s BRIT Awards was hosted by Jack Whitehall<\/a> and marked the first time in the 46-year history that the ceremony was held outside of London<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It saw Noel Gallagher named as Songwriter of the Year<\/a>, PinkPantheress as Producer Of The Year<\/a>, and Ozzy Osbourne was honoured with the BRITs Lifetime Achievement Award <\/a>following his passing last summer<\/a>.<\/p>\n

For the latter Robbie Williams <\/a>performed some his songs alongide members of the Prince Of Darkness\u2019 band, including Adam Wakeman, Robert Trujillo, Tommy Clufetos and Zakk Wylde.<\/p>\n

Olivia Dean took home the most awards on the night<\/a>, including Album of the Year with \u2018The Art Of Loving<\/a>\u2018.
