Holland and Zendaya, both 29, met in 2016 on the set of the Marvel film Spider-Man: Homecoming, where they played Peter Parker and Michelle \u201cMJ\u201d Watson. <\/p>\n
They reprised their roles in sequels released in 2019 and 2021.<\/p>\n
Fans of the couple were sent into a frenzy last January after Zendaya was spotted wearing a diamond ring on her left hand at the Golden Globes red carpet, according to Variety.<\/p>\n
The New York Post later reported Holland appeared to confirm the couple\u2019s engagement during an interview last September.<\/p>\n
\u201cI brought my daughter, and she got to meet your girlfriend, so I was father of the year,\u201d a journalist said to Holland, to which the actor responded, \u201cFiancee\u201d.<\/p>\n
Holland has previously described their relationship as his \u201csaving grace\u201d and the best thing that has ever happened to him.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s just that perfect thing when you\u2019re on set and a director will give you a note that maybe you don\u2019t agree with, or I know that she doesn\u2019t particularly like, and it\u2019s just that like familiar glance at each other of like, can\u2019t wait to talk about that later.\u201d<\/p>\n
Zendaya told Vanity Fair that acting alongside Holland made her feel \u201cextra safe\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cI love working with him,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s so talented and passionate about what he does. He always gives things one thousand percent, even if he\u2019s absolutely worn down. I really appreciate that about him.\u201d<\/p>\n
